We believe we will be more sustainable, and in the end productive and profitable, using polyculture principles of permaculture, stacking crops like beef cows, chickens, chestnuts, apples, raspberries, and annual crops all on the same acreage. Meanwhile, this requires a little more extra love and devotion between planning and planting, including securing financing for alternative systems, preparing planting ground, and designing and adapting an integrative system that will strengthen our farm as a whole both ecologically and economically.
